The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Students Engagement, Sunday Asefon has rallied on Ekiti youths to support Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election ambition.
At a week-long solidarity tour organised across the 16 local governments, the youths in their numbers were unanimous in their support for Oyebanji’s leadership style ahead of the governorship election in 2026.
Speaking with newsmen at the grand finale in Ado-Ekiti, on Friday, the youth leader explained that the initiative is aimed at getting feedbacks from youths across the state on the various achievements of the governor, particularly as it regards to youth-friendly policies.
He noted that youths in each of the local governments expressed satisfaction and appreciation to the governor for running an all-inclusive governance and prioritizing the welfare of the people and the youths in particular.

His words: “Ekiti State is one of the secured states in the Southwest and if we have a governor that also cares about his people, we must also commend such a governor. The assessment of the governor in all ramifications in terms of education, infrastructure, youth empowerment and so on, we can now see that the governor has performed wonderfully.”
The Presidential aide, who urged the youths to get their voters card, declared his readiness to canvass support for Oyebanji’s re-election saying that his transformative leadership style and continuity governance aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for the country.

In their separate address at the grand finale, Chairman of Ado local government, Bosun Osalon and Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, commended the Presidential aide for standing behind the governor’s re-election noting that the initiative is a testament to his unwavering commitment for the welfare of youths and students in the state.

Also, the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Asiwaju Kasali Oluwafemi reiterated that the youths are ready to stand behind the governor and called on leaders of the All Progressives Congress to ensure that he secures the party’s ticket at the primary.
Meanwhile, the grand finale, which concluded with a road show across the streets of the state capital witnessed free fuel distribution to okada riders donated by the Presidential aide.
