Again, Governor Oyebanji Set to Patronise Ekiti Livestock Market Ahead of Yuletide

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji is set to patronise Ekiti Sheep, Goat and Ram Sellers Association for bulk and direct purchase ahead of the upcoming Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The initiative is in continuation of Governor Oyebanji’s administration to boost local businesses and ensure resource inflow and circulation during major festive periods.

The Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, led the state government delegation during a visit to the association at the Adere Neighbourhood Market in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday.

Addressing the sellers, who joyfully received the state government’s delegation, Omotosho stated that the initiative reflects the governor’s commitment to strengthen local businesses for economic development and shared prosperity across the state.

She emphasised that the plans of the governor to procure livestock directly from the sellers is aimed at eliminating middlemen interference for maximum benefits towards promoting indigenous products and services.

Recall that since assumption of office, the administration of Governor Oyebanji has continued to patronise livestock sellers during major festive seasons with a view of encouraging patronage of indigenous markets.

Receiving the delegation, chairman of the association, Alhaji Bello Elias and his vice, Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim expressed gratitude to the governor for always supporting the livestock sellers during festive periods and reassured him of their readiness to supply livestock at reasonably reduced prices for Ekiti people during the yuletide celebrations.
