
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Owa-Ooye of Okemesi Kingdom, Oba Michael Adedeji, on Tuesday, hailed Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for prudent deployment of the state’s resources in driving economic development and improving the lives of Ekiti people.
They stated this during the commissioning of projects in Okemesi-Ekiti including the Itawure-Okemesi road, General Hospital and electrification project in continuation of the 3rd anniversary of the Oyebanji-led administration.
The Ondo State governor, who was the Special Guest of Honour, at the epoch-making event, described Oyebanji as “an erudite administrator who has demonstrated exemplary commitment to good governance, a beacon of progress, prudence and performance in the Southwest region, not just in Ekiti State only.”
Aiyedatiwa commended Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to quality infrastructure projects noting that it is an evidence to the fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people of the state.
According to him, “this 3rd year anniversary celebration that we are marking with the commissioning of these projects here in Okemesi is more than just a mark of time, it is a testament or evidence to transformative leadership, steady hands at the helm and to an administration that has turned electioneering promises to tangible and visible progress that we can see in all the works that we are commissioning.
“In just three years, Ekiti State has witnessed unprecedented structural renewal, improved social services and governance anchored on integrity, accountability and compassion that continually put the people at the core of his policies and programs.”
Bubbling with joy, Oba Adedeji, who spoke on behalf of the illustrious sons and daughters of Okemesi, showered encomium on Governor Oyebanji for defying the odds by intervening in the plights of Okemesi people saying that they had been neglected and subjected to ridicule.
The former Chairman of Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers lauded the governor for effectively managing the state’s resources despite its meagre monthly allocation and his commitment to fiscal responsibility, service excellence and shared prosperity of Ekiti people.
Amidst cheers from the jubilant crowd, the revered monarch offered fervent prayers to Governor Oyebanji for his onerous efforts to restore the dignity of the community through impactful developmental milestones.
Governor Oyebanji urged citizens abroad to partner with his administration to explore avenues for collaboration geared towards driving the state’s shared prosperity agenda.
He decried misleading information being peddled in the social media by rumour mongers and detractors and assured of his administration’s continued commitment to delivery the dividends of democracy to Ekiti people.
Oyebanji, who commended the contractor for ensuring a thorough project in record time, disclosed that plans are underway to extend the road project to Ijero local government.
In his goodwill message, Chairman of Federation of Okemesi Improvement Union, Nath Olaoye appreciated the governor noting that the projects will improve the livelihood and economic development of the town and assured to take ownership of the projects.
