Ahead of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2026 governorship election in Ekiti State, the BAO Local Government Primary Election Campaign Committee is set to commence ward-to-ward tour across the 16 local governments.
The Apex committee, chaired by Chief Alaba Abejide and Mr. Ayodeji Adarabierin as Secretary had on Friday inaugurated the Local Government Organizing committees and are saddled with the responsibility to coordinate the smooth operations for the emergence of Governor Biodun Oyebanji as the party’s flagbearer in the upcoming October primaries in the 177 wards.
Following the successful inauguration of the local government committees , the committee members have mapped out plans to engage party stakeholders, leaders, and members at the ward level beginning from Monday 29th to Friday 3rd, October 2025.
This move, which aligns with Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to upholding internal democratic processes, will further strengthen grassroots participation and ensure inclusiveness among party members ahead of the primary.
