The interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications, has rewarded its loyal listeners with various empowerment packages ahead of the yuletide celebrations.
The loyal listeners were rewarded with food items and cash gifts as part of community-driven initiatives of Governor Biodun Oyebanji to celebrate the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, who featured during the special edition, stated that the initiative is designed to celebrate audience loyalty and deepen listener engagement.

Omotosho emphasised that Governor Oyebanji understands the peculiar needs of Ekiti State owing to his leadership that is rooted in deep, native intelligence.
According to her, “as the longest-serving political office holder in the state, having been part of Ekiti’s political journey since its creation, he knows the terrain, the people, and their expectations.
“What makes this remarkable is that those many years of service have not gone to waste; they have translated into tangible gains for Ekiti people, evident in the calm, transformational leadership the state enjoys today under his leadership.
“Governor Oyebanji is not one for flamboyance or extravagant birthday celebrations. Yet, driven by his deep affection for children with disabilities, he has chosen a different path.
“Every year since assuming office, he marks his birthday by celebrating with pupils and students of special schools across Ekiti State. Beyond his personal donations of cash gifts and food items, he leverages the influence of his office to mobilize additional support and resources for these schools, ensuring the welfare and proper upkeep of the pupils and students. This is in addition to the consistent attention his administration pays to the welfare of their teachers and trainers.

” Governor Oyebanji and his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, have been extending love to Ekiti people long before the Yuletide season. The wave of compassion witnessed in recent weeks is simply a continuation of the First Family’s long-standing culture of empathy and service.
“Through various initiatives from the Governor and his wife, groups, associations, and vulnerable individuals have been reached, setting a strong example and encouraging the larger society to embrace generosity, kindness, and communal responsibility.
“As the state looks ahead, 2026 is clearly a year of renewed commitment and doubled efforts. Governor Oyebanji is not resting on past achievements. He firmly believes that restoring and sustaining the people’s trust is a continuous process, one that requires proactive, transparent, and people-focused governance. Ekiti should therefore expect more projects, deeper reforms, and policies that further strengthen economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructural development.”
