EKIT TO PARTNER FEDERAL GOVERNMENT MINISTRIES, AGENCIES ON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

The Director General, Community Communications, Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho has engaged some Heads of Federal Ministries , Agencies and International Donor Agencies to foster community development

She said the engagement was to support Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s vision for community development in Ekiti State by capitalizing on his existing positive relationships with the organizations and agencies.

Mrs. Omotosho outlined Governor Oyebanji’s vision and mission, highlighting areas where the Community Communications Office requires support , based on a thorough community needs assessment carried out on communities in the State.

On their parts the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Youth and Student Engagement,Comrade Sunday Asefon, the National Team Leader, Foreign, CommonwealthandDevelopment, FCDO,Mr.John Mutu, and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Disaster Management and Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan appreciated the Community Communications boss bold step and initiative of thinking outside the box to seek support

While emphasizing Governor Oyebanji’s dedication to meeting the needs of the Ekiti people she noted that community needs alone are enormous hence the need to seek support.

Mrs Oso-Omotoso expressed optimism that the partnerships will empower citizens, especially at the grassroots level, by fostering self-reliance, community programs, and economic development.
