The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, CON, JP, has commended the inclusive leadership style of Governor Biodun Oyebanji for fostering unprecedented unity among political appointees from Ado-Ekiti extraction.
The monarch gave the commendation on Thursday during a courtesy visit by a delegation of Forum of Ado Political Office Holders, led by the Chairman of the Forum, Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro.
The delegation during the visit presented a joint cash donation of ₦7 million, which includes ₦5 million for the ongoing infrastructural project at the palace and ₦2 million to support preparations for the forthcoming 2025 Udiroko Festival.

Oba Adejugbe, visibly moved by the forum’s gesture and coordinated effort, described the moment as historic, stating that such a display of unity among Ado indigenes in government had not been witnessed in the past.
“This is the first time I’m seeing this level of oneness and shared purpose among our children in political offices. It is a testament to the type of leadership we currently have in the state. Governor Oyebanji’s inclusive and fair approach has opened a new chapter of peace, maturity, and collective responsibility among our people,” the Ewi said.
Earlier in her remarks, Chairman of the Forum, Prof. Adubiaro said the donation was a reflection of the forum’s shared belief in cultural preservation and traditional development.
“Our presence here today is not political. It is a cultural and moral responsibility. We believe that development must be holistic, rooted in heritage, strengthened by unity, and driven by purpose. Supporting the ongoing project in the palace and the Udiroko Festival is a way of reaffirming our respect for the crown and our commitment to sustaining the values that bind us as a people,” she said.

Prof. Adubiaro also expressed appreciation to Governor Biodun Oyebanji for creating an enabling environment that has fostered uncommon unity among Ado-Ekiti appointees. She said the donation further reflects the Governor’s deep respect for culture and traditional institutions, as well as his ability to inspire political unity in service of heritage, peace, and inclusive development.
“We are equally grateful to Mr. Governor for his inclusive leadership style and his respect for traditional institutions. His disposition has made this level of unity among we political appointees in Ado possible, something that hasn’t always been the case in the past,” she added.
Other members of the delegation included Hon. (Mrs.) Omotayo Adeola, Treasurer of the Forum and Commissioner for Investment, Trade, Industry and Cooperatives; Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotosho, Secretary of the Forum and Director-General of the Bureau of Community Communications; Hon. Adarabierin Ayodeji, Financial Secretary and SSA on Revenue; and Chief Bosun Osaloni, Chairman of Ado Local Government.
