
A group under the aegis of Forum of Local Government Female Supervisors on Wednesday embarked on special road walk and endorsement rally for the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State.
The latest endorsement for the re-election of Governor Oyebanji had in attendance female supervisors across the 16 LGAs, who marched colourfully in the streets and major markets in Ado-Ekiti to declare their support and also distributed food items to residents of the state.

In an interview, Coordinator of the group, Helen Ogunrinde declared that all female supervisors across the state are solidly behind the re-election of Governor Oyebanji owing to his giant strides in the state.
She explained that they found it worthy to celebrate the good works of the governor by distributing food items to the people of the state adding that the exercise is to also celebrate their one-year anniversary in office.

Her words: “We are celebrating the good works of our Governor and that is why we are giving food items as a sign of support to a working governor.”We are here to appreciate his good works, using our one year anniversary to spearhead that. That’s why we are distributing food items to the people .
“All the female supervisors are behind BAO . We are ready to work for them and mobilize women to support him from now on to second term.”

In the same vein, Bisola Ogunmodede, Supervisor for Health in Ilejemeje local government appreciated the governor as well as the First Lady for considering appointing female supervisors across the various local governments.
She noted that the road walk and endorsement exercise will cut across the three senatorial districts in the state while declaring that there is no vacancy in the seat of Ekiti State government until 2030.
According to her, “Governor Oyebanji gave us the opportunity to be leaders in our various local governments. Our governor is very generous and we are doing this to complement his efforts. This is not a one off show, we are covering the three senatorial districts. There is no vacancy and he will be governor till 2030.”

Also, Olubunmi Anikekemi, Supervisor for Health in Ido-Osi/Isokan commended the efforts of the state governor for providing the dividends of democracy in line with his six-pillar shared prosperity mantra.
