Governor Oyebanji Commissions Ado-Ekiti Township Road Projects

In continuation of projects commissioning, as part of activities marking his third anniversary in office, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Thursday, commissioned Ado-Ekiti township roads.

Speaking at the commissioning of the 1km BOVAS – Spotless road, Oyebanji, represented by the Ekiti State First Lady, Olayemi Oyebanji noted that “this project holds great importance not just as part of our state infrastructural development agenda but also as a crucial lifeline for the residents and motorists of this area.

“The construction of this road is a significant achievement reflecting our commitment to improving the welfare of our people by providing reliable road networks.”

The governor further said that the reconstruction of the new road will prevent traffic congestion at Bank road and act as a link to GRA and state secretariat, therefore allowing free flow of traffic to these destinations.

“The construction of this road goes beyond just improving transportation as it will also boost the economic potential of this area by promoting access to business locations, reducing travel time and providing safer passage. This road construction isn’t just one of many of our administration has undertaken to improve the welfare of our people.”

Oyebanji pledged the commitment of his administration to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy noting that since the inception of his administration, they have embarked on mass reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads in the three senatorial districts in Ekiti.

“We will continue to ensure that people of Ekiti State enjoy the dividends of good governance in line with our six points agenda. This is to ensure no community is left behind in our developmental agenda.”

He urged all stakeholders, including community leaders, local government officials, and citizens “to maintain and work together to preserve it.”

Addressing market women, religious leaders, traditional institutions, okada riders and commuters at the commissioning of the 1.2km Palace – Oke Age – Idolofin road, Governor Oyebanji stated that “good roads are not just pathways for vehicles, but they are lifelines that connects communities, promote trade, improve security and contribute to the overall quality of our people.

“The commissioning of this township road is a clear testimony of the commitment of our administration to projects and developments to every part of our dear state.”

Commissioner for Works, Shola Adebayo stated that these projects represents significant milestones to enhance the commitment of the administration to durability, accessibility, and aesthetics of the state capital.

In the same vein, Chairmen of Landlord Association and Paradise Community, Adebayo Samuel and Adetilehin Samuel, respectively, expressed profound joy and pledged their total support for the governor’s re-election.

Representative of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe and the Chief Imam of Ekiti State, Jamiu Kewulere Bello commended the governor for his transformative leadership style saying that the road reconstruction will boost businesses in the area.
