GOVERNOR OYEBANJI DISTRIBUTES CASH GIFTS, FOOD ITEMS TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, ELDERLIES.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji has distributed cash gifts and food items to persons with disabilities, the elderlies, and other vulnerable individuals in Ekiti State.

In an interview with a Community mirror reporter, one of the beneficiaries, Mr. Michael Oluwapelumi Ofi who is visually impaired and a widower, shared that he has been struggling financially since losing his job as a printer.

Mr Ofi noted that he has turned to soap making and expressed his gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for responding to his request for assistance.

Also, Mrs. Victoria Oni, an 80-year-old widow whose house was severely damaged by a rainstorm that blew off its roof, praised the Governor for his intervention that prevented her from becoming homeless.

Another beneficiary, Mrs Yekini Cecilia Ajayi who received food items and cash gifts lauded Governor Oyebanji for his compassion towards the vulnerable people in the state.

Speaking during the distribution of the cash gifts and food items, the Director General of Community Communications, Ekiti State, Mrs. Mary Oso-Omotoso, said the gesture by the Governor was intended to improve the living conditions of vulnerable people.

“Humanitarian services and social interventions are paramount in Governor Oyebanji’s administration, reflecting his love for vulnerable citizens and attention to people’s welfare .

“Governor Oyebanji is known for his humanitarian services and act of kindness . This is a community outreach where we have to visit beneficiaries’ homes and deliver Mr Governor’s message to them having considered their conditions . We did in Are Ekiti and Ado-Ekiti”, she said .

On the team were SSA Town Unions & Associations, Hon. Femi Andero , SA Governor’s Office , Hon. Toyin Tuase ,SA Mobilization, Hon. Dolapo Obayemi and technical assistants from the Community Communications Office.
