
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has again supported roadside petty traders with a cash donation of N100,000 each to boost their businesses.
The gesture, aimed at uplifting small-scale entrepreneurs in the state, was distributed through the Bureau of Community Communications, for beneficiaries opposite At-Waheed School, along Irewolede Estate, Ado-Ekiti.
Recall that since assumption of office, Governor Oyebanji has consistently empowered small-scale entrepreneurs, aimed at improving living standards in line with his shared prosperity mantra.
Distributing the cash gifts, on Friday, Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, said the special empowerment packages is targeted at reviving micro and small-sized businesses.
The Director General emphasised that the initiative reflects Governor Oyebanji’s commitment to economic growth and the strategic efforts of his administration to bridge the financial gap affecting traders.
She urged them to make good use of the cash empowerment to boost their earnings stressing that the initiative will further deepen grassroots engagement.
The traders expressed gratitude to the Governor, praising his leadership and dedication to good governance, saying that the support would help to stabilise their businesses.
