
Non-indigenous groups in Ekiti State has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his inclusive leadership style and commitment to the development of the state.
Oyigocho Otache, Ochidoma, Agabaidu 1 of Ekiti State, who spoke on Tuesday, during the interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications, described the administration of Governor Oyebanji as exemplary and people-oriented.
According to him, the governor’s policies in line with his shared prosperity mantra has created an enabling environment for both indigenous and non-indigenous residents to thrive for the overall economic development in the state.
His words: “Governor Oyebanji has been a very wonderful governor. His inclusive governance is what entices us to him and he hamonised all the non-indigenous groups in Ekiti State.
“Governor Oyebanji didn’t count us as strangers and he has been carrying us along in whatever he wants to do. We are grateful because no governor has ever done this to the non-indigenes.
“Ekiti is an agarian state and the economy is agarian based economy and agriculture is the business of Idoma man. We are everywhere in the state contributing significantly to Ekiti economy.”
He assured the unalloyed support of all the non-indigenous groups in the state for the governor’s re-election ambition while pledging to mobilise electorates ahead of the poll.
“All the leaders of non-indigenous groups in Ekiti State have unanimously agreed to endorse the governor for second term even before the statewide endorsement.
“I have to thank the governor for recruiting Idoma people into the Agro Marshal Corps. We have been going round mobilising our people for his re-election. Any other person that is contesting the election against him is wasting his time.”
