
Community leaders in Ekiti State has said the inclusive governance style of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is promoting peace and unity among different communities in the state.
The General Chairmen of community Landlord Associations, Joseph Olatunde and Adedapo Adewale stated this on Tuesday, in Ado-Ekiti, during the interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications.
According to Olatunde, the administration of Governor Oyebanji has continued to encourage inclusion and ensuring that no community is left out of his people-focused leadership in the state.
He emphasised that the developmental milestones across Ekiti communities is building trust among citizens, stabilising the state’s economy, creating job opportunities and reducing tension among different communities.
While commending the proactive efforts of the governor in addressing the high cost of house rents in the state, he noted that engagements with landlords and caretakers are already yielding positive outcomes.
Olatunde, who pledged their total support for the governor’s re-election ambition, urged residents to actively participate in the electoral process towards ensuring that the governor is re-elected for more purposeful leadership in the state.
In the same vein, Adewale showered encomium on the governor for prioritising the needs of the various communities, saying that construction of access roads and installation of transformers has significantly improved mobility and economic activities within the communities.
He noted that communities are actively collaborating with the government, particularly in maintaining security and ensuring the safety of residents.
The community leader, who affirmed the commitment of his community to support the governor’s second term, hailed the Director General, Bureau of Communications, Mary Omotosho for her consistent support in advancing community-based development.
