
The Ekiti State Hammer Owners, Timber Processors, Marketers and Sawmillers Association on Tuesday endorsed Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for another tenure in office.
The groups in their numbers, with members drawn from the 16 local governments, held a joint endorsement rally at the Governor’s Office Ado-Ekiti to extend their support for the governor’s re-election bid.
Speaking at the auspicious occasion, Chairman of the Timber Processors in the state, Chief Adeyeye Adekanbi said the governor has performed credibly well since assumption of office.

He noted that “the Oyebanji’s administration stands out as exceptional compared to previous ones. He understands exactly what the people of Ekiti need and that is why we are proudly endorsing the Governor for a second term.”
His counterpart from the Ekiti State Sawmillers Association, Jimoh Ayodele described the Oyebanji’s administration as unprecedented and transformative while pledging to stand behind his re-election ambition for the goods works to continue.

His words: “We pledge to mobilize support for the governor and work for his victory in the 2026 governorship election in appreciation of his commitment to improving the standard of living of people of the State. We are impressed by the policies and the programs of the Oyebanji administration which have turned around the fortunes of Ekiti people.”
Chairman, Board of Trustees of Timber Dealers in Ekiti State, Chief Adebayo Francis stated that: “we are endorsing the governor because of his performances right from inception of his governance for inclusivity, transparency and fiscal infrastructure. We are behind him solidly and he is a man of the people.”

Responding on behalf of the governor, Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho commended the groups for showing solidarity with the governor noting that he would continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

The DG, who highlighted the achievements of the governor in line with his shared prosperity mantra assured the groups of governments efforts to work together towards the development of the state.
