Ahead of the forthcoming affirmation day of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State, Chairman of the BAO Primary Election Campaign Committee, Chief Alaba Abejide has urged party faithful on the need to maintain orderliness in today’s ward delegates congress which would be held across the 177 wards in the state .
In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, on Friday, Chief Abejide admonished members to follow the laid down rules and guidelines for the ward delegate congress slated for today , Saturday, 25th October 2025 as well as the affirmation process on Monday, 27th October 2025.
He noted that this is the first time the APC in Ekiti State would embark on a consensus candidate, hence, the need to intimate party members on the guidelines as released by the National Working Committee towards ensuring a smooth consensus process .
The committee Chairman lauded the dedication and effectiveness of all the local organizing committees across the 16 local government areas in the effective discharge of their assignment especially , the ward tours in all the 177 wards of the state, describing their efforts at grassroots mobilization as remarkable.
Chief Abejide noted that the LOC at the Local Government and Ward levels have concluded series of sensitization, awareness, and mobilization campaign across the nooks and cranny of the 16 LGAs and 177 wards in the State, stressing that this effort has not only helped in consolidating the Governor’s popularity, but also assisted in strengthening the party’s unity ahead of the affirmation day where Governor Oyebanji would be announced as the APC consensus candidate.
