Yuletide: Governor Oyebanji Spreads Generous Empowerments Across Ekiti Markets

In continuation of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s commitment to spreading the true spirit of the yuletide season, traders across Ekiti markets, on Tuesday, received special empowerment packages.

The event which was organised by the Bureau of Community Communications held across various popular markets in Ado-Ekiti including, Moferere, Nova and Oja-Bisi markets.

The beneficiaries, who are small-scale traders and market women were joyous to receive the governor’s kind gesture which includes food items and cash gifts donations.

Addressing the traders, Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho said that the initiative reflects the governor’s generosity and commitment to the welfare of the people at the grassroots level.

She noted that the gesture is aimed at fostering joy and unity during the Christmas and New Year celebrations and cushioning the impact of the festive period on small-scale business owners.

Omotosho emphasised that the governor has ensured that no segment of the society is left behind since assumption of office adding that the outdoor market outreach is designed to take the celebration directly to the streets and equal participation in line with the governor’s policy on inclusive governance.

The beneficiaries expressed delight and appreciated the governor for providing food and financial support in the spirit of the yuletide celebrations while pledging to mobilise electorates for his re-election ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
