Policemen on Illegal Duty Arrested in Ekiti After NURTW Chairman Falope Raises Alarm

Some policemen illegally brought in from outside Ekiti on illegal duty have been arrested following the alarm raised by the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ekiti State, Chief Joseph Falope.

According to Falope, the policemen molested innocent citizens around Adebayo area of Ado Ekiti including members of the NURTW by shooting sporadically and creating panic in some parts of the state capital on Thursday.

The NURTW Chairman alleged that the law enforcement officers were brought into the state for illegal duties and sponsored by supporters loyal to Kayode Ojo including; Deji Adesokan AKA Jaru and Akogun Abayomi ‘Lustay’.

He further stated that the policemen were led by ASP Ayuba Danjuma to the State and dispatched to Ikoro, Ikere and Ado-Ekiti.

Falope revealed that the policemen were uncovered in their hideouts in Leke Hotel along Bank Road Ado Ekit and subsequently arrested by the Ekiti State Police Command.
