Governor Oyebanji’s Students’ Welfare Initiatives Yielding Results – Aide

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State on Students’ Affairs, Modupe Aditiba, has said that the reforms of the governor in prioritizing the welfare of Ekiti students is yielding results.

Speaking on Tuesday during the interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications, Aditiba declared that the governor’s investment in education is making the state’s economy better.

She highlighted the various students’ welfare and support initiatives under the Oyebanji’s administration stressing that the state has witnessed significant milestones in educational advancement and growth of Ekiti youths.

According to her, “Governor Oyebanji is doing well across board and when it comes to his efforts to the students community, they are unwavering from scholarship to bursary, and ensuring that relative peace and stability in the educational sector in Ekiti State.

“Governor Oyebanji has consistently ensured that institutions across Ekiti have a conducive learning environment where students can learn, grow and where they can thrive.

“Just early this year, the governor approved another 100% increment of the state scholarships that makes it the second 100% increment he has initiated. What this means is that for every indigenous student, they have access to bursary and scholarship.

“Students living with disabilities are not sidelined under this administration. There is a special arrangement that entitles them to both bursaries and scholarships, with no extra hurdles beyond proof of studentship. Inclusion, for Governor Oyebanji, is not a slogan but a practice.

“The impact of these interventions is already evident. Ekiti students are recording improved performances and winning honours on national and international academic platforms, projecting the state positively beyond its borders.

“Ultimately, the love Governor Oyebanji has for students is a clear indication of his long-term vision for Ekiti State. By investing deliberately in today’s students, he is laying a solid foundation for tomorrow’s leaders, professionals, and change-makers.”
