
…hosts New Year get-together for APC members, constituents, stakeholders in Omuo-Ekiti
A former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State and 9th Senate representative, Senator Biodun Olujimi, has declared total victory for the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji across the 16 local governments in the forthcoming June 20, 2026 gubernatorial election in the state.
The former lawmaker made this declaration, on Saturday, when she hosted members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, constituents and critical stakeholders across the 16 local governments in her hometown, Omuo-Ekiti in Ekiti East local government.
Senator Olujimi reaffirmed her total and undiluted support for the re-election of Governor Oyebanji saying that he deserves another term to continue in delivering good governance to Ekiti people.
She urged party members to work assiduously towards the re-election of the governor noting that the task is a collective assignment geared towards ensuring victory in all the 177 wards of the state.
Her words: “The Governor deserves our full backing, prayers, and cooperation to continue delivering good governance to the people of Ekiti State. Anything short of total support is unacceptable. Our target is clear: nothing less than another resounding 16–0 victory across Ekiti State.
“As we approach the forthcoming June election, I urge every party member to be vigilant, committed and hardworking. Let us not underestimate our opponents. Politics requires strategy, dedication and serious grassroots engagement. We must work ward by ward, unit by unit, and ensure victory in all the 177 wards of the state.
“Teamwork is non-negotiable, and every member must see himself or herself as a stakeholder in this collective assignment.
I admonish us all to be our brother’s keeper. Let us support one another, protect our party interests, and resolve internal issues amicably. Unity is our strength, and together we are unstoppable.”
In his remark, a former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko eulogised the former lawmaker for exemplifying purposeful leadership through her humanitarian gesture and commended her steadfast support for the governor’s re-election ambition.
He called on residents of the area to stand firmly behind Governor Oyebanji ahead of the poll and embark on aggressive strategic grassroots mobilisation and awareness.
On his part, the member representing Ekiti East 2 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly Hon. Lateef Akanle, described the former lawmaker as a grassroots mobiliser and assured his constituents that the governor will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
His counterpart from Ekiti East Constituency 1, Hon. Oladele Ogunsakin emphasised that the APC remains an indivisible family that are committed to the re-election ambition of Governor Oyebanji.
Highlights of the epoch-making event is the distribution of essential palliatives to the vulnerable in Ekiti East local government including food items and fabrics.
In attendance at the occasion include; Commissioner for Transportation, Kehinde Ajobiewe, the Ekiti APC Female Elders Forum Leader, Chief Mrs Ronke Okunsanya, former Secretary to the State Government, Evangelist Foluso Daramola, Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Omotosho, represented by Hon. Mary Imoletuyi, local government chairmen, traditional rulers, and party leaders across the state.
