Influx of new members into APC in Ekiti, evidence of Oyebanji’s outstanding performance – Adedayo

Commissioner for Youth Development in Ekiti State, Gold Adedayo, has attributed the influx of new members into the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state to the outstanding performance of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.

Adedayo, who also doubles as the State Coordinator for the APC E-registration exercise, stated this on Tuesday, in Ado-Ekiti, during the interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications.

He emphasised that the E-registration exercise is geared towards strengthening the party’s structure from analog to digital platform stressing that it would bring about accountability and transparency in the party.

Adedayo pointed out that the exercise will foster effective mobilisation of electorates for the governor’s re-election ambition ahead of the June 20 governorship election in the state.

His words: “Our party is moving forward and taking the lead as the biggest and largest party in Africa. We are moving from analog to digital registration because we want to bring about accountability and transparency to our membership.

“For our future purposes and tomorrow as a political party, we deemed it fit to move from analog to digital platform. The whole essence is: old members revalidate your membership on the digital platform while also allowing new membership. It is important because we are going to use it at congresses, party primaries going forward.

“It will bring about better mobilisation for our party. When we register as a member of a political party because election is not about only the candidate, it is a party program. The party needs to mobilise people who are not partisan. It will allow easy mobilisation and votes to support our governor.”

Adedayo attributed the widespread support for Governor Oyebanji to his administration’s progress and accomplishments, which led to his endorsement for a second term.

The Commissioner expressed gratitude to Governor Oyebanji for prioritising youth involvement in governance, appointing young people to key positions, and promoting their well-being.
