Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has once again demonstrated his compassionate leadership by reaching out to vulnerable residents in the state.
The humanitarian gesture, which was held during the special edition of the interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications, brought relief, hope and smiles to residents who phoned in during the program.
Speaking with the newsmen, Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, said the initiative is to further reaffirm the governor’s commitment to inclusive leadership and people-centred governance.
She explained that since the inception of his administration, the compassionate governor has consistently extended help to the needy, less-privileged and vulnerable in the society through various empowerment schemes.
According to her, “We do it often and it is not the first time. This is not because of an election because we run a humanitarian governance in Ekiti State. The governor is a compassionate person and he has asked us to use every platform to empower citizens of the state.
“We know that we are busy with campaigns and we have not deliberately carried out some empowerment programs from the office of the governor, even though we do spontaneous empowerment on the go.”
Earlier, during the interactive S’etigbo multicast, Omotosho described Governor Oyebanji as a God-sent leader whose administration continues to promote unity, inclusiveness, and sustainable development across Ekiti State.
She noted that the Governor relates freely with people from different backgrounds and political affiliations, placing the welfare and progress of Ekiti people above every other consideration.
The Director-General stated that Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated exemplary leadership through people-oriented projects and policies aimed at improving the standard of living of residents across the state.
She emphasised that many residents of the state have openly expressed satisfaction with the governor’s performance, stressing that his achievements have continued to speak louder than political campaigns.
