Governor Oyebanji accelerating progress of Ekiti, Says Olujimi

A former Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Olujimi says the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is steadily accelerating progress of the state through deliberate focus on economic and infrastructural developments.

Olujimi, who served as senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district, noted that the governor has continued on this path of progress since his jinx-breaking re-election, assuring that the state is poised for more impactful and people-centred leadership in his second term.

Speaking on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti during the interactive S’etigbo multicast anchored by the Bureau of Community Communications, Olujimi called on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to unite together towards the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Her words: “Most governors after they have been re-elected just go to sleep but for the first time we have a governor who is busy commissioning and working.

“You would have expected like every other person that he would relax and take it easy. It means that in his second term he still will not relax, relent and he will ensure that all the programs he has laid out are all actualised and fulfilled.

“I believe that it is the minimum we can say for Governor Oyebanji because he is a hard worker who believes in Ekiti and its project and he works very hard for it.”

While calling on all Ekiti people to remain united and committed to moving the state forward, she noted that Ekiti citizens are making significant contributions across the country and around the world, urging them to channel their talents and resources towards the development of their communities and the state at large.

The former senator commended Governor Oyebanji for providing greater opportunities for women in Ekiti politics, describing the development as a significant shift in the political history of the state and calling for even greater representation of women in leadership.
