Governor Oyebanji not distracted from serving Ekiti people – Omotosho

The Director General, Bureau of Community Communications, Mary Omotosho, has declared that the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji won’t be distracted in delivery the dividends of democracy to Ekiti people.

Speaking as a guest, on Tuesday , in Ado-Ekiti, during the interactive S’etigbo multicast, anchored by her office, the DG reaffirmed the administration’s unwavering commitment towards fulfilling its campaign promises to Ekiti people which is anchored on the shared prosperity vision.

As the forthcoming gubernatorial election intensifies, Omotosho maintained that the Oyebanji-led administration remains focused in accelerating growth and development across all sectors of the state’s economy.

According to her, Governor Oyebanji’s leadership style is anchored on sincere grassroots engagements and has earned him plaudits and trust from the entire Ekiti citizenry.

She said: “Sincere grassroots engagement and transparency remain two of the strongest pillars behind Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s success. He does not promise what he cannot deliver, and whatever he commits to, he pursues diligently. This rare leadership style continues to deepen public trust across the state.

“Governor Oyebanji is a leader whose core values guide his governance; integrity, humility, accountability, and genuine commitment to people’s welfare. These values reflect in his decisions and in the results visible across Ekiti.”

While highlighting the various projects that were successfully executed and commissioned during the administration’s third anniversary, the DG assured that more projects will be flagged off across the state.

“Even before his first anniversary in office, the Federal Government began to take strong notice of Ekiti progress. The Vice President visited the state early on to commission projects, an indication that Ekiti was already on a new trajectory of developmental credibility.

“During the 3rd Anniversary celebration, not only roads were commissioned. Farm dormitories to support cluster farming, electrification projects for rural communities, and renovated hospitals formed part of a broad list of completed interventions.

“A total of 10 major roads were commissioned during the 3rd anniversary alone, excluding several others previously delivered and in addition to many more currently ongoing across the state.

“Inviting Governors from other states to commission projects in Ekiti is not unusual; Governor Oyebanji himself has been invited to other states to commission landmark projects. It is a symbolic exchange of honour, performance recognition, and inter-state collaboration.

“Continuity remains one of Ekiti greatest advantages today. The rehabilitation of the Ara–Ikole–Isinbode Road and several others are classic examples of what is possible when a government does not abandon inherited projects.

“The support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele has been enormous. Their collaboration with Governor Oyebanji has accelerated the pace of development in Ekiti across multiple sectors.

“The Governor’s humility, innovation, and fairness, especially in the patronage of party members and inclusion of grassroots stakeholders, have strengthened political stability and enhanced governance delivery.” She concluded.
