An excited mammoth crowd of supporters in Gbonyin/Aiyekire local government, on Thursday, rolled out the developmental milestones of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji in their area.
In their separate remarks at the statewide grassroots engagement of Governor Oyebanji in Ode-Ekiti, the residents noted that the present administration has delivered unprecedented projects in Gbonyin/Aiyekire.
Mayowa Ogundana, who spoke on behalf of the youth, pointed out the ‘Bring Back Our Youths to Agriculture’ initiative, saying that the move has provided means of livelihood to youth in the area.
According to him, “We want to congratulate the Governor. We are saying this for two reasons: youths have benefited immensely from the ‘Bring Back Our Youths to Agriculture’ initiative, and also from the restoration of electricity to the local government.”
Similarly, Director General, Bureau of Local Content, Olalekan Ijidale said the exemplary leadership of Governor Oyebanji has ignited a new wave of passion among residents of the state who are eager to see Ekiti state continue on its current path of rapid development.
Ijidale reiterated the unflinching determination of Gbonyin/Aiyekire electorates to re-elect the governor and declared that the forthcoming poll is to affirm him for another tenure.
“We don’t have any contestants in Ekiti except our amiable and responsive governor. It’s just an avenue to exercise our civic duty to affirm his second term.
“He is the only one we can see that emboldened the real Omoluabi that symbolises Ekiti. We are looking forward to a leader like him who understands the real value of Ekiti and that is why he is being supported in Gbonyin/Aiyekire.”
Also, Abimbola Awe, who spoke on behalf of the leaders assured that they would deliver massive votes for the governor’s re-election noting that Gbonyin is fully behind him.
Addressing the mammoth crowd, Governor Oyebanji attributed the developmental milestones to President Bola Tinubu, who have continually supported the state governments including Ekiti State.
According to the governor, “we have listened to the leaders here, and the reassurance is secured. I know that in the history of the state, Gbonyin has always been on the side of the progressives.
“I have listened to all the developments you have mentioned that we have done. Commendation should be given to President Tinubu, and so we must do all we can to ensure total victory comes June 20.”
